Sharing web links or collective bookmarking
As workers in a knowledge economy, we constantly look for information on the web about technology, competitors, market changes, products, etc. Bookmarking on a PC browser limits the availability of links to the specific PC only. We bookmark them on sites such as Yahoo Del.icio.us* to come back to later and sometimes share them with others that might be interested in reading.
How Qontext Helps
Qontext provides you the capability to bookmark, share, and tag information internally within your corporate community. You can:
- Bookmark pages for personal use and tag them for quick recall
- Perform collective bookmarking with the same tags to find information discovered by your co-workers. Qontext’s auto-completion feature makes it easy to set the same tags your co-workers used and helps avoid messy variation of tags
- Make information available to the right set of people by sharing within groups. This helps control “noise” in the corporate community. For example, technology information may not be too interesting for the Sales team, but competitor information would be critical
* We are saddened by the recent news that Yahoo is shutting down Del.icio.us.
